NORBERTO VALDES ALPÍZAR was born on August 6, 1980 in Holguín, Cuba His father NORBERTO FERNANDO VALDES was a musician, bassist of the Maravillas de Florida orchestra, then moved on to the Liberación orchestra and ended his musical career in Los Soneros de Camacho. NORBERTO entered the VOCATIONAL SCHOOL OF ART, RAÚL GÓMEZ GARCIAS in the city where he was born and finished the elementary level in EVA, LUIS CASAS ROMERO, in the city of Camagüey as a double bass instrument in which he currently plays Then he continues his studies at the middle level in the MUSIC CONSERVATORY .JOSÉ WHITE. where he starts as a composer of popular dance music and jazz songs to be exhibited in different art galleries and jazz clubs in the city of Camaguey. In 1998 he took his graduation exam and began to be part of the Tiempo de Son orchestra and after a period in the city of Trinidad, he traveled to the city of Havana to continue his studies at the INSTITUTO SUPERIOR DE ARTE Already in HAVANA, he became part of GUIDO LÓPEZ GAVILÁN's string orchestra and made different recordings with the singer PAVEL URQUIZA, one of them was in the Cuban film LAS NOCHES DE CONSTANTINOPLA, in 2001. He also joined the MICHEL MAZA Y LA BOLA Orchestra and continues to work with Michel as musical director, arranger and composer.
