Zarko is internationally awarded songwriter, music performer and creative studio recording musician with professional experience in both Audio and Video production. As Singer/Songwriter, Zarko made his international debut in 2013. with CD "Chasing Dreams" recorded in Oklahoma. "Offering My Song", a single from debut album made a quick impact drawing the audience attention and winning a Songwriting competition. Zarko was awarded with valuable Audio Production Scholarship at SAE Institute. Studies at SAE helped Zarko start a career as Audio Professional at the leading regional Radio Broadcasting channel in Serbia - Naxi Radio. Zarko writes and publishes original songs, instrumental music and production music. His music was licensed for commercial use, stock music platforms, overhead radio, network television and gaming apps. As a singer/songwriter, Zarko grews his audience through streaming platforms such as Spotify, Youtube and Instagram. As a musician, Zarko performed since he was 18 with various bands exploring the Music scene in his hometown (Belgrade, Serbia). His songwriting is influenced by the likes of Jackson Browne, Tom Petty, John Fogerty (among others). After years of early music education (classical guitar) Zarko developed a fingerpicking technique influenced by classical, flamenco and traditional music he used to play. Rainbow, a rock track, was his second international release in 2014 followed by the year of international performances, local performances with rock cover band and internet exposure through music licensing, internet radio streaming and youtube videos. Influenced by Country and Americana sound, Zarko writes series of introspective songs with the focus on solo acoustic performance. "Look At Me", a track released in 2015, opened a new chapter and brought Zarko back to his storytelling roots, followed by the release of "Remedy", a song written after recovering from a near-fatal brain stroke a few years back. "Love is a Paper Plane", featuring Nigerian soul Singer/Songwriter Cill was published in 2018. The song video drew the attention of audience and Zarko started recording instagram video clips gaining loyal audience through Reverbnation and Instagram. Since 2018, Zarko writes both instrumental acoustic guitar music and original songs, performing as a Solo Act. The first collection of Acoustic Guitar compositions inspired by world music (balkan traditional, flamenco & Oriental) is forthcoming.
