Royalty payments are not handled by SongShop.
It is up to the artist and writer to admin their individual royalties.
Traditional admining of royalties takes a percentage of the payment for a processing fee. By simplifying this process and having the royalties paid direct-to-writer (as outlined in the license) writers are able to keep 100% of all their royatlies when they use SongShop.
Performance Royalties will be handled by what ever PRO you are associated with. If you have not signed up with a PRO and registered your works, we recommend you do so.
SongShop is not entitled to any Performance Royalties.
If you are signed to a publisher or have designated a third party company to handle and distribute your royalties (ex. CD Baby or TuneCore) you are required to disclaim this information to anyone licensing your songs so you do not get paid double royalty amounts
Below pertains to placements and cuts with major artists through the Pitch Platform
All mechanical royalties will be admined by W.O.M.P. Nashville and distributed to the writer at the statutory rate.
Commercial song placements will require a single song publishing deal and all details will be discussed in the event your song is to be placed.
Composition royalties will be handled by whatever PRO you are associated with. If you have not signed up with a PRO and registered your works, we recommend you do so.
Publishing Royalties will be assigned to SongShop.
